For measuring I use a signal generator with a calibrated attenuater fed to my Hygain Hytower that is about 100 feet away and in line with the SVDA. For observing level I am using FSM software (available on the internet) to read the level of the signal my IC-756PROII sees. I make a change to the antenna and adjust the output of the signal generator to get the same reading on FSM and read the difference in generated level for the results.
